Astro Aluminum Treating's Quality System is based upon AS 9100B. We are responsive
to customer needs, and work to promptly satisfy our customers' requirements.

We currently have eleven Rockwell hardness testers and two Brinell testers for verification of the acceptability of heat treatments performed. We also have seven conductivity meters for eddy current testing. In most cases, the combination of hardness and eddy current test results enables us to confirm that your parts meet your customer's requirements. All additional metallurgical testing is performed by certified testing laboratories which have been approved as suppliers to Astro.

Equipment is calibrated daily and serviced according to ASTM E-8 and MIL-STD 1537.
Certifications of test equipment are traceable to NIST and are available, upon request.

Our furnaces and ovens are controlled and calibrated in accordance with AMS 2750.
The additional requirements contained in customer pyrometry specifications such as
BAC 5621 are also met.
